Prayer and Liturgy

Prayer and Liturgy is our loving response, in word and action, to God’s invitation to enter into a loving relationship with God, made possible through the work of Jesus Christ and witness of the Holy Spirit. 

At All Saints, worship is a daily integral part of the school life. It gives children the opportunity to ‘Live the Faith’. We gather as a community to listen to the teachings of our Faith and time to pray and reflect on our own lives. 

As a Catholic school, we put Christ at the centre of education, helping to create and sustain the Catholic ethos, making it tangible and meaningful for the children.
Prayer and Liturgy takes place everyday at All Saints, either in class or during key stage assemblies and hymn practice. We also have occasions when we come together as a whole school in the hall or in Church to have Prayer and Liturgy with each other and within the parish and local community.

All members of the school community gather for worship, showing reverence to the Word and reflecting upon its meaning. All children have the opportunity to plan worship and lead aspects of the worship within their classes.
We have a different theme for Prayer and Liturgy each week. When necessary, we respond to local and wider community events and incidents, alongside celebrating special feast days.

We have a faith garden which our children use for Prayer and Liturgy with their classes and specific prayer areas and rooms for pupils and staff to use within the school.
