Catholic Life

All Saints school is underpinned by the Gospel values and our pupils are encouraged to live these values each day, both in school and in the wider world. Our community and parish links are at the heart of our school and every child is given the opportunity to become involved with the local partners, and the wider global community.

We have several pupils groups who regularly encourage others to live the Gospel values. The Charity Club and Poverty busters have been involved with fundraising, supplying food banks and supporting charities throughout the school year to help those in our community who are in need, alongside supporting our friends in Sierra Leone and other worldwide charities.

Pope Francis has written a letter addressed to every person on this planet, asking us all to protect our common home, the earth. In his encyclical, Laudato Si’, Pope Francis speaks openly about the devastating effects of the ecological crisis has on people and the planet. He says that climate change is real, urgent and it must be tackled, asking us to remember that the climate is “a common good, belonging to all and meant for all”.

Our pupils have been inspired by this message and have created their own Eco Emerald group to make a positive change to our local community and have inspired over 750,000 hours of nature engagement, helped sign up 15,000 young nature guardians, partnered with children internationally and reached a global audience of 500million with their message ‘Your patch, your planet’.

Our children live out our Gospel values through their work alongside local community teams to help their local area, including partnerships with local nursing homes, adults with learning difficulties and charities.
