Global Goals

At All Saints, we provide our pupils with a global curriculum based on relevant knowledge and skills to prepare them for the future wherever it may take them. We believe that exposing pupils to big global ideas will equip them for the choices they will encounter along their learning journey and prepare them for decisions they will have to make as global citizens. Our curriculum empowers pupils to think about the world around them and become conscious of the bearing their own actions can have on people and the environment.

The seven themes that the children encounter throughout the year are:

Sustainable Development

Identity and Diversity

Globalisation and Interdependence

Social Justice

Human Rights

Power and Governance

Peace and Conflict

Our big global ideas, influenced by the recent papal encyclicals ‘Laudato Si’ and ‘Fratelli Tutti’ weave their way throughout our curriculum across various subjects.

As our pupils encounter these themes each year, they develop a progressive understanding of the ideas and skills. Click below for a progression map outlining what our pupils will understand for each theme at the end of each Key Stage.
