Into University

IntoUniversity North Liverpool opened in Anfield in October 2017, marking the charity’s first centre
in Liverpool. It is run in partnership with the LFC Foundation and the University of Liverpool. All
Saints was one of the first schools to partner with IntoUniversity, and our pupils from Years 4 to 6
take part in the programme.
The programme supports and enhances the National Curriculum, encouraging students to think
about their future education and career. In Year 6, students spend a week learning about a
university degree subject, which ends with a graduation ceremony at the University of Liverpool. The
programme helps raise students’ aspirations and builds important skills like teamwork and
communication.
At each centre, IntoUniversity staff offer after-school academic support, helping students aged 7-18
develop study skills. Students also have access to resources they may not have at home, such as
books, university prospectuses, computers, and trained staff and volunteers. Many of our All Saints
pupils have benefited from this programme.

Robin Wood Year 6 Residential

Nestled in the picturesque Welsh countryside just outside Wrexham, Maes-y-Nant, a historic site
dating back to around 1870, serves as the home for our Year 6 children during their 3-day residential
trip. The site is home to a variety of outdoor adventure activities, including a purpose-built high
ropes course, Raft Building, and Canoeing on its specially designed lake, which is shallow enough for
Key Stage 2 students but large enough to offer a true sense of adventure. The grounds also feature a
Giant Swing and an 80-meter Zip Wire for an adrenaline-filled experience.
Newly constructed buildings house Archery and a unique indoor Caving system, allowing these
activities to be enjoyed year-round. Maes-y-Nant hosts Robinwood’s Ultimate timetable, which
includes classic sessions like the legendary Piranha Pool, Dungeon, and Quest-themed problem-
solving challenges. Accommodation for both dormitories and teachers is located in the main
building. Below is an example timetable for the trip.
