Laudato Si highlights the fundamental and closely intertwined relationships with God, with our neighbours, and with the earth itself. It is our collective responsibility to honour and preserve these relationships.
Our curriculum empowers pupils to think about the world around them and become conscious of their own actions and how they can impact other people and the environment. Influenced by the papal encyclicals ‘Laudato Si and Fratelli Tutti’, All Saints provides a global curriculum underpinned by seven Global Goals. The embodiment of the Global Goals exposes our pupils to relevant global ideas, instilling the believe that the earth and all life on it are part of God’s creation.
We equip and prepare the children for decisions they will have to make as global citizens.
Our pupil led environmentalists the ‘Eco Emeralds’ are at the fore front leading the school in gaining international recognition and support our outstanding example of community and environmental activism. This recognition and support coming from the Vatican and HRH the Prince and Princess of Wales.
In an extension of this we are currently towards the ‘Live Simply’ award which requires us to work as a school community to:
- Live Simply
- Live Sustainably
- Live in Solidarity
