R2 Archive news...
Many thanks to all the parents who attended to share our lunch today. The children really enjoyed having their adults with them to experience their school meals and the playground games. The comments sheets completed are very valuable to hear your opinions.
R2 took advantage of the sunny (but very windy) morning and held their P.E session outside. We have been practising our relay races using a variety of skills to find different ways to move, while working together as a team.
We had a special visit from Croxteth Park Farm today. The children enjoyed learning about owls and had lots of intriguing questions for our visitors!

We have been busy all week preparing for World Book Day. We have been making our own chocolate bars, just like Willy Wonka!!!
The children loved melting the chocolate then adding toppings to make their own unique chocolate bars. Their favorite part was licking the spoon after.
The children wrote instructions on how to make a chocolate bar……..
…… and worked together in their groups to build a chocolate factory.
Thank you to all our parents who came to have lunch with us last week. The children loved the experience, especially playing outside after.
R2 had fun making a video which showed the importance of playing together and being kind to others who may be feeling lonely.
This term we are learning about the topic ‘Under the Sea’.
This week we have been counting fish, matching the number of fish to the correct numeral and halving and doubling numbers.
The children have also been making lots of different sea creatures with the play dough. They have made puffer fish, jelly fish, star fish and eels……”but not the electric eel!”

The children love taking part in our music lessons with Mrs Naylor. They love taking turns to sing in front of their friends developing their confidence.
They also have the chance to take part in ‘Tuning In’ sessions, enjoyed by all.
