The sun shone for our Year 1 trip today. We stopped at the Pier Head where the children had to spot Liverpool’s famous buildings and the River Mersey. Then we went to Crosby Marina and had great fun playing in the Adventure Playground. After lunch we went onto the beach to look at the Iron Men and enjoyed playing on the sand. Finally we had an ice cream before heading back to school. The children really enjoyed their day and we were very proud of the children’s excellent behaviour. Well done 1H you were a credit to All Saints.
This afternoon we watched some clips of the Beatles and sang along to The Yellow Submarine. Then we created a Spanish yellow submarine (a collage with Spanish pictures) for the Beatles around the world competition. Have a look at our entries. It’s going to be so hard to choose a winner!
There are lots of fun activities planned for Year 1 this week as part of Languages Week. This morning we tasted foods from different countries, including Spanish Tapas, English scones and Belgian waffles. Then we had some fruity sangria back in class. Take a look at our pictures.
Well done to Year 1 on completing their swimming lessons. The children have thoroughly enjoyed their lessons and it’s been wonderful to see how they’ve become more confident in the water. The children’s progress has been amazing. Some of the children who were non-swimmers, are now beginning to swim. Well done year 1! Year 1 staff are so proud of you.
This morning 1H performed their African song which they have been learning in their music lessons with Mrs Naylor to the Nursery. Enjoy!Listen to our African song.
