Afternoon Nursery news...
We have started our work to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Our role play area is now a restaurant and children can order a range of foods and pay for the food – as long as counting is done with 1:1 correspondence.
Children have been preparing food and of course doing the washing up.
We will be taking a dragon to assembly on Friday.
Here is a copy of Mr Farrell’s phonics game.
If you are interested in a phonics workshop, please let Mr Farrell know.
We are still loving the story No-bot, the robot without a bottom.
The story is here is you don’t know it.
What do you think No-bot is saying here?
We hope you enjoyed our Nativity. Rewatch it below!
These are some Christmas nativity songs we have been using in nursery
This week’s homework:
Our topic in RE this week has been looking at birthdays.
Draw a cake and some candles.
Try and count the candles on the cake.
The children are very excited about the Nativity.
Please come and ask if you have any questions. Please ensure all costumes have your child’s name on them. Ask your child to sing the songs we are learning
Here is a copy of the letter that went out this week.
Morning nursery – Thursday 15th December
Afternoon nursery – Friday 16 th December
All nursery children will be taking part in our nursery Nativity. Please provide your child with a simple costume for the nativity, it may be home-made or shop bought.
All the boys are shepherds and all the girls are angels.
If this causes you any problems, then please come and speak to us.
Thank you for your continued co-operation.

Both morning and afternoon nursery children are going to The Unity Theatre to watch a performance of ‘Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf’ on Tuesday 20th December.
We will leave school at 9.15a.m. and we will return at 12.15p.m. Therefore, there will not be an afternoon session for Mr Farrell’s afternoon nursery class.
The cost for the trip is £6.00 per family, this includes the cost of transport. The John Jones fund will subsidise the remaining cost of the trip.
Please return your payment and signed permission slip before 12th December 2016.
Please come and speak to us if you have any questions.
M Edwards and M Farrell.
This week we have learnt about celebrations – especially birthdays. We’ve counted candles, made cakes and held parties!
