Spellings – given out every Monday to practise at home each night. The children also have a copy in school which they practise each morning! The weekly spelling test is on Friday.
Maths – There are lots of things to practise at home which will help your child in school:
– Chant and recall 2, 5 and 10 times tables

And some some fun games to help.
We have PE each Monday afternoon, children should have their full school PE kits with them every Monday!
We had a great morning at Gilmoss recycling centre. We did lots of activities to learn how to reduce, reuse & recycle and saw how all the recyclable rubbish is sorted in the factory.
Here we are mixing colours and making lighter and darker shades painting The Outback in Australia.
We had a lovely surprise visit from our local fire fighters!
Here are some photographs of us enjoying our Maths lessons!
We loved reading the Traction Man story. We needed to describe Traction Man’s adventures in the murky waters of the sink so we used our senses. We put our hands in some sticky beans, bendy pasty, bubbly water and came up with some amazing adjectives.
These are our story maps that we created to support our writing! We worked collaboratively, using our creativity and excellent communication skills.
We had a fantastic day launching our new topic ‘Florence Nightingale.’ Some of us came in dressed up doctors, nurses, patients and soldiers. Our classroom transformed into a hospital and we had lots of patients to look after! Have a look at some of our photos….
Here we are sketching portraits of Florence!
