Year 5 Cricket Competition – Monday 13th June 2016
Children from Year 5 took part in a cricket competition yesterday at Sefton Park Cricket Club.
It was the first sporting tournament for many of the children, and the first cricket tournament for all of them. Encouragingly, they managed to compete really well in their 4 matches against year 6 children from other schools, even managing to win one of them.
It was great to see them using their newly developed bowling, batting, and fielding skills against other schools, and not being phased by the intensity of the competition.
The experience gained will benefit them greatly in the future, and we are all looking forward to the next cricket competition on 30th June.
Well done to you all.
Y5/6 Football – Anfield Mini-League – Tuesday 22nd March
All Saints 11 – 2 St Matthews
What a display from the boys. Some great football with the ball played on the ground at all times. LFC coach refereeing the match comment on how well they played as a team and how they knocked the ball around with one touch passing. We still have 100% record in the mini-league.
Y5/6 Football – League Match – Tuesday 22nd March
Northcote 0 – 6 All Saints
The lads returned to Walton Hall Park after losing the semi-final with a point to prove. From the kick-off they were in complete control and dominated the match. Reagan had a fantastic penalty save from a dubious penalty awarded by the ref. The first half we showed our ability to pass and went 4- 0 up. The second half was a bit scrappy bit we were in total control of the game. Well done lads.
Goals: Brian, Billy, Joseph, Scott, Anthony, George
MOTM: Jack T
SWIMMING GALA – Monday 21st March

Y3/4 Football – St. John’s 6 : 6 All Saints
Our Year 3 and 4 football team took part in a thrilling 6-6 draw against another local primary school St. John’s. With a wonderful hat trick from Year 3’s Lewis, 2 goals from his own half from Harry and a brilliant finish from year 4’s Bobby. Well done Boys!
Well done to the cross country team who travelled to Sefton Park and competed in the league meeting against schools from all over Liverpool. Some fantastic performances on the day. All the training with Miss Seddon is really paying off. Well done!
Year5/6 Football – All Saints 5 : 2 Emmaus
MOTM: Gerard W
A fantastic result on a sunny afternoon at the Anfield Community Centre. Every one of the boys can be proud of their performance on the day. Anthony opened the scoring and from the minute the goal went in All Saints were in control of the game. Other goals came from Paul, Joseph, Scott and Anthony scored his second. However, it was at the other end of the pitch that had the star performer of the day. A solid performance with his defensive partner Jack saw Gerard, who never missed a tackle all game, pick up the man of the match award. Well done boys! A BIG thank you to all the parents who came to support the team. We have had a good number of parents at every game this season. Many thanks.
Year 4 Touch Rugby Festival at Croxteth Lifestyles – Wednesday 10th February 2016

Year 5 Football Team are Champions
CONGRATULATIONS to the year 5 boys who won the finals of the De La Salle 5 aside football competition. After comfortably winning their group the previous Friday, they were deserved victors in the final, winning every game. They played some wonderful football and have great team spirit. The boys were great sports and fully deserved the trophy. A total of 12 teams entered and we are very proud of our boys for coming out on top!
Here are a list of the results in the tournament:
All Saints 5 – 1 Florence Melly

All Saints 3 – 0 St Anne’s Stanley
All Saints 1 – 0 Monksdown
Year 6 Water Polo Competition – Monday 7th December 2015
A lot of fun was had on Monday at the Year 6 water polo competition. It was a great effort considering some of the team were playing for the first time ever. We started the tournament strongly winning the first game 2-0. However the next two games didn’t go our way and we lost 3-0 and 2-1 finishing 3rd in our group. The children enjoyed playing a new sport although they found it very tiring!
Year 5 Football Competition – Friday 4th December 2015 – De La Salle
All Saints 3-0 Blessed Sacrament
All Saints 5-0 St Annes
All Saints 3- 1 Florence Melly
All Saints 0-0 Croxteth
Congratulations to the year 5 boys who stormed the competition this afternoon. They certainly were the team to beat. They finished top and now return for the finals next week with the other winning teams from the other heats. Fingers crossed they can come away with the trophy!
Blessed Sacrament 4 – 2 All Saints
MATCH REPORT – Friday 27th November – Y5/6 Football
Goals: Christopher B, Joseph W
MOTM: Christopher B
Both teams took to the pitch and battle it out in terrible conditions. It was so wet and cold the lads couldn’t feel their hands! The score line suggests that the home team dominated the play but it was our own lads who had the majority of possession and higher number of shots on goal. We just didn’t seem to get the luck on the day even though we were the better team. The goal of the game was scored by Christopher who struck a fierce shot from 20 yards that no keeper would have saved!
Y2 Gymnastics Competition – Wednesday 25th November
Well done to the Y2 Gymnastics team and Miss Seddon for finishing 3rd at the LSSP competition. There were 10 schools competing and All Saints children were fantastic. From balance and control to forward rolls the children put on a spectacle. A thoroughly enjoyable day and we have some stars for the future.
LFC Academy Football Tournament – Y5/6 Football – Wednesday 25th November
A big well done to the boys who came third. They narrowly missed out on making it to the regional finals. The teamwork was fantastic and some of the performances were fantastic! The boys won one match 7-0! We are really proud of the manner they competed.
Barlows 2 – 2 All Saints
MATCH REPORT – Friday 20th November – Y5/6 Football
Goal scorers: Joseph Williamson, Charlie Williams
MOTM: Scott Kearns
A really hard fought match in tough conditions. The lads played exceptionally well and battled for a point which in the end was a fair result. It was difficult to get the ball down and play nice football as it was very muddy. We are very proud of the lads who played well and were great sports.
Thanks to all the parents for their support.
All Saints 6 – 7 Rice Lane
MATCH REPORT – Friday 6th November – Y5/6 Football
(All Saints goal scorers: Charlie W, Michael M, Joseph W, Lewis C, Scott K, Anthony M)
On a very wet and windy night All Saints took on a very strong Rice Lane team. It was a close fought encounter with some lovely football on display. Both teams had the lead on different occasions but it was Rice Lane who came out on top to win 6-7. Goal of the match went to Charlie who scored a stunning strike straight into the top corner, no keeper would have saved it! The boys battled hard and were well organised. If we can carry on performances like this all season we will prove difficult to beat. A big thank you to all the parents who came to support the lads!
Man of the match: Michael M. Team Photo below
